Near the harbour
On a short window, staying close to Belfast Harbour / the cruise terminal area is the safest plan. A short walk, a simple viewpoint, or a single nearby highlight beats a rushed dash that eats your return buffer.
Titanic Quarter
Titanic Belfast and the surrounding slipways / waterfront are among the strongest cruise-day draws within a short transfer of many berthing patterns. Allow museum time if you go inside — queues and dwell can stretch. Pair with a light city stroll rather than a Causeway add-on.
City centre, Cathedral Quarter, murals
Streets around Cathedral Quarter, City Hall, and political-history mural tours give Belfast a character you will not get on the Antrim coast. These work well as a half-to-full city day when hours ashore are ordinary.
Giant's Causeway & Causeway Coast
Worth it when the published window is long and you accept a transfer-heavy day. Treat optional coastal viewpoints as flex stops, not guaranteed checklist items. Filming-location tourism (including Game of Thrones sites) is light colour at most — do not let it inflate an already long circuit.
